Only Trust Your Dog.
Imagine you’re house is on fire. You can only save one item and both your laptop and your dog, Skip, are on the couch. Which one do you save? Last week, a guy went to a website at work, received a pop-up saying his computer infected. Then, he called the number and gave them access. Sadly, in this case, he had to replace all of the hardware. He had given remote access to fraudulent people! Not only is it pricey to replace hardware, but it’s also time-consuming. Lesson learned: Stop giving remote access to people other than your IT technician.
